Therapist
Professional Statement
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker currently providing telehealth therapy and consulting services part-time with Neponset Therapy Associates. I am also currently the Director of Clinical Programming at the Italian Home for Children’s Pallotta School in Jamaica Plain, MA. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and comfortable space for clients to explore challenges and build skills necessary to identify and implement creative solutions in their lives.
Following receiving my Bachelors degree in Human Development from Cornell University, I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Social Work at Boston College in 2016. I have primarily spent my professional years working in school settings providing individual and group therapy for students (ages 7-21) with ranging emotional and behavioral challenges and needs. I also have valued my work with families, helping family members to increase understanding, communication skills, and problem-solving skills to work towards united goals. Prior to my current role at the Italian Home for Children, I worked at the Ivy Street School in Brookline, MA as a Clinician and subsequently as the Residential Director.
I am a Certified Autism Specialist, and within the next few months I expect to sit for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board examination in order to allow me to practice as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), in addition to my work as a social worker.
As a therapist I meet clients where they are at and use compassion and curiosity to work together to build skills and creative solutions to reach meaningful goals. I use strengths-based, solution-focused techniques to assist clients in understanding and identifying their needs, setting achievable goals, coping with life’s challenges, decreasing stress and anxiety, and increasing self-esteem and overall emotional well-being.
In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting my family in Vermont, taking art classes, running, and skiing when there is ever snow!
